The competition, which draws attention with the use of artificial intelligence solutions, which are mainly used in the field of information technologies today, in the field of health, attracts great attention. The Artificial Intelligence Race in Health is organized with the aim of producing solutions to problems that may be encountered in the field of health and increasing knowledge and trained manpower.
One of the main goals of artificial intelligence studies is to protect, protect and improve people's physical and mental health. For this reason, considering the field of health from many perspectives such as preventive, detective, managerial and supervisory for artificial intelligence analyzes is of great value for the development of value-added ideas and solutions.
In the competition held within the scope of TEKNOFEST 2024, young people will compete in two categories: Disease Detection with Computer Vision at High School Level and Disease Detection with Computer Vision at University and Above Level. Within the scope of the competition, the teams will be expected to analyze Mammography Images with Computer Vision, Extract Entity Names from Mammography Radiology Reports and predict BI-RADS Category. Additionally, this year, groups will be asked to combine image processing and natural language processing.
High school students and graduates studying in Turkey and abroad, undergraduate, associate degree, master's degree, doctorate and open education university students and graduates can apply to the competition.
In the race, where applications end on February 20, the first prize in the Computer Vision Disease Detection Category High School Level is 100 thousand TL, the second prize is 80 thousand TL, and the third prize is 60 thousand TL. In the Disease Detection with Computer Vision Category, the first prize for the University and above level was determined as 150 thousand TL, the second prize for 120 thousand TL, and the third prize for 100 thousand TL.
Nevasoft Team, which participated in the Artificial Intelligence in Health Competition at TEKNOFEST 2022, achieved 3rd place. Nevasoft develops innovative software and devices for diagnostic assays in medical laboratories. Nevasoft, which is also a graduate of the TEKNOFEST Enterprise Program, received an investment of 36 Million TL in crowdfunding at a valuation of 4 Million TL with its software project that analyzes medical results obtained from blood samples with artificial intelligence in the diagnosis of blood diseases.
Participating in the TEKNOFEST 2023 Artificial Intelligence in Health Competition, HEVI AI develops diagnostic aid systems in radiological images using the most current deep learning methods. In this way, it increases the capacity of radiologists and therefore hospitals, accelerates their reporting, and provides higher accuracy by reducing errors. Hevi AI serves 37 hospitals and generates more than $340 thousand in revenue. Hevi AI, which ranked at TEKNOFEST Izmir, also won the Web Summit Qatar participation award with the award it received at Take Off 2023.
