Beam for Additional Bridge at Kaşkaldere Junction

Within the scope of Kaşkaldere (95 Evler) D-100 Six Junction and Connection Roads works carried out by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, the bridge beam on the new road constructed for direct access of the southern side road (İstiklal Street) running in front of the Old Provincial Police Department to the Kiraz junction on D-100 installations were made. With the bridge, on which 20 beams are mounted, uninterrupted access will be provided to the Kiraz junction (Cahit Zarifoğlu Street) and the direction of Istanbul via the southern side road. It will be connected to the roundabout from the Izmit-Istanbul direction with an additional bridge with two spans, 100 meters long and 40 meters wide, raised to the same height as D-8,5.

BORED PILES AND GROUND STRENGTHENING

In the region located on the border of Derince and Körfez districts, where there is a heavy vehicle flow, easy and comfortable transportation will be provided, as well as accelerating traffic. Within the scope of the works, 396 bored piles were driven to a total depth of 6 thousand 100 meters. In addition to the bored piles, 1.530 DSMs were applied to a total depth of 20 thousand meters to strengthen the ground. Within the scope of the ground improvement and consolidation applied, columns up to 13 meters deep were created.

ROUNDATION, NEW CENTER AND DOUBLE ROAD

The existing culvert under the Kaşkaldere Junction was expanded and a new 326-meter culvert was built. A new 2x2 road, XNUMX meters long, will be built from Burcu Street, following Istiklal Street, to the roundabout at the intersection of Yaşar Doğu and Elveda Street, following the route of Bayır and Rüzgarlı Street from the west side of Kaşkaldere Recreation Area. A diamond intersection will be built at the Kaşkaldere intersection on the border of Körfez and Derince districts in order to reduce the signal phase with vehicle intersection points and ensure traffic safety.
