4 Million TL Culvert Project Started in Manisa

Manisa Water and Sewerage Administration (MASKİ) General Directorate continues its investments in Manisa center and districts in order to take early precautions against sudden and excessive rains. In this context, within the Department of Environmental Protection and Control, 4-meter prefabricated culvert installation and reinforced concrete culvert construction work was started in Koldere neighborhood of Saruhanlı district, with an investment cost of approximately 248 Million TL. Mümin Deniz, Head of Environmental Protection and Control Department, also examined the works on site and received information. Mayor Deniz was accompanied by Metropolitan Municipality Council Member Şerafettin Yüncüoğlu, Environmental Protection and Control Department branch managers Necip Kurtarıcı, Metropolitan Municipality Mukhtar Affairs Saruhanlı Branch Manager Serdar Özgedik, neighborhood headman İbrahim Durbay and contractor company officials.

“WE PROMISED, WE KEPT OUR PROMISE”
Providing information about the work, Mümin Deniz, Head of the Environmental Protection and Control Department, said, “Last year, a disaster occurred that affected the Koldere neighborhood of our Saruhanlı district and the surrounding neighborhoods. We arrived in the region with all our teams from the first moment of the rain and intervened in the negativities. We made a promise to our headman that we would start working as soon as possible to put an end to floods that may occur in disaster situations. We kept our promise and successfully started our 4-meter prefabricated box culvert and reinforced concrete culvert manufacturing business at a cost of approximately 248 Million TL. "Under the leadership of our Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, Mr. Cengiz Ergün, we will continue our investments to make our constantly developing and growing Manisa a more livable city," he said.

Neighborhood headman İbrahim Durbay said, “When the culvert construction work started in our neighborhood is completed, there will be no danger of floods. With the investment of MASKİ, a permanent solution was found to the negative situations. "We would like to thank our Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, Mr. Cengiz Ergün, for his services," he said.
