Minister Uraloğlu is holding the last program of 2023 in Malatya, one of the provinces that suffered heavy destruction in the February 6 Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes. Minister Uraloğlu, who examined the works carried out at the Malatya İkizce TOKİ Roads Construction Site on site, pointed out that one of the most devastating disasters in human history occurred this year, and expressed his condolences to the citizens who lost their lives on February 6 and their relatives.

Reminding that they are on the field at all times to keep the transportation routes open and to prevent communication from being interrupted in the areas damaged by the February 6 earthquakes, defined as the 'disaster of the century', Uraloğlu said, "There is damage in the 9-kilometer section, which constitutes only 176 percent of the 2 thousand 184-kilometer road in the earthquake zone highway road network. was formed. “11 percent of our national road network in our 98 provinces did not suffer any damage from the earthquake.” he said.

Stating that they have carried out very critical work such as evacuating from the region and transferring the aid sent to the region since the first day of the earthquake, Uraloğlu said, “We evacuated 720 thousand citizens from the region by using our airlines effectively and quickly in disaster logistics. "In coordination with AFAD Management Center, we evacuated more than 1 million citizens free of charge by land, sea and railway, as well as air." he said.

Uraloğlu noted that after the earthquakes, they started all studies in the field of transportation and communication, from air to railway, and stated that citizens living in container cities can communicate without experiencing coverage problems.

“IMPROVEMENT WORKS OF MALATYA-NARLI-FEVZİPAŞA-BAHÇE TRAIN LINE CONTINUES”

“We spent 2023 billion lira in 6,3 for the roads affected by the earthquake. We plan to spend 2024 billion lira in 12.

We realized 5 projects and 10 construction tenders for the construction of 38 km long connection and development roads for 180 thousand houses in 4 different sections in 8 provinces.

We continue to work intensively on projects with a total project cost of 15 billion TL.

A total of 15 km of development and 885 km connection roads for 58,6 thousand 10,6 houses in Hatay, in Osmaniye; "Our work continues on the 1.820 km development and connection road for 7,1 houses, 3 km for 252 thousand 37,9 houses in Şanlıurfa, and 6 km for 40 thousand 25,9 houses in Diyarbakır."

“WE CONTINUE THE CONSTRUCTION OF 9 PROJECTS IN MALATYA WITH A PROJECT AMOUNT OF 321 BILLION 14 MILLION LIRA”

Stating that huge investments have been made in Malatya in 21 years, which is the economic and social center of the region with its land and air railway networks, Uraloğlu made the following statements:

“In 2002, we increased the length of Malatya's divided road, which was 36 kilometers, to 464 kilometers. While there were no hot bitumen mixed roads in our city, we built 341 kilometers of hot bitumen mixed roads. We connected Malatya to Elazığ, Diyarbakır and Adıyaman via divided roads.

We put into service the Erkenek Tunnel on the Malatya Darende Junction-Gölbaşı Road, which is a nightmare for drivers with its steep cliffs and icing.

We completed the construction of the 123-meter-long double bridge and the 660-meter-long Kömürhan Bridge and Connection Tunnel and made their official opening.

We have completed the giant highway project such as the Tohma Bridge on the Malatya-Sivas road.

"We continue the construction of 9 projects in our province with a project cost of 321 billion 14 million lira."

“OUR WORKS ON THE 11 KM DEVELOPMENT AND CONNECTION ROAD FOR 131 THOUSAND 46,3 RESIDENCES IN İkizce CONTINUE FAST”

Uraloğlu, who inspected the İkizce TOKİ Roads construction site, gave information about the work done. Uraloğlu said, “We continue our work with 11 work machines and 131 personnel on the 46,3 km development and connection road for 100 thousand 195 houses in İkizce. Within the scope of our project, we will build a 46,3 km long road, infrastructure works and different level intersections. As of today, we continue to work on the 7,5 km section. "We brought the 4,5 km section to terrace level," he said.

“WE WILL FINISH 9,4 KM ROAD WITH INFRASTRUCTURE IN MALATYA IN FEBRUARY”

Noting that 185 thousand m3 of earthwork has been carried out so far within the scope of infrastructure works, Uraloğlu said, “We have laid 1.000 meters of wastewater and 200 meters of rainwater lines. We also started the superstructure works of our road. "We aim to complete the 2024 km road with its infrastructure by the end of February 9,4," he said.

Uraloğlu stated that within the scope of the tender, they will create a different level intersection in the section where the connection road intersects with the state road, and said, "This intersection will also serve Malatya OIZ, which is located opposite the earthquake residences."
