The Metropolitan Municipality held the tender for the production of sheds in the market area, which is located in the Eastern Kışla Park location and is established two days a week. Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality completed the transformation works in the closed market area established in the İzmit Eastern Kışla Park location on Saturdays and Thursdays. In this context, in line with the strong wishes of the marketers, upon the instructions of the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, Tahir Büyükakın, it was planned to close the southern and western facades of the market area, where the fishermen are located, by building a porch. 11 companies bid for the porch production tender held in the electronic system at the tender hall of the metropolitan main service building. The lowest bid in the tender was 4 million 773 thousand 363,22 TL.
100 WILL BE COMPLETED IN DAY
The tender for the production of the shed requested by tradesmen and citizens in the closed market place, known as Thursday Market, which is held two days a week, and in the multi-storey car park area was held. 11 companies bid for the tender. According to the project prepared by the Metropolitan Municipality, an area of 924 square meters will be closed by building a porch. After the tender board evaluates the offers, a contract will be signed with the contractor company and the work will begin. The project was planned to be completed in 100 calendar days.
SECURITY AND SURROUND FENCE
In order to prevent possible negativities in the market area located right next to the Eastern Kışla Park, the Metropolitan Municipality had fenced the market area to ensure control and security in line with the request of the Chamber of Marketers. Vehicles continue to be parked in the market area, where there is a single entrance and exit for vehicles, except on Thursdays and Saturdays. At the same time, the Metropolitan Police established a security point in the market area and assigned personnel. The Metropolitan Municipality also placed benches and camellias where those who came to the market to sit and relax.

Leader Büyükakın, who came together with the marketers and their families in the market area, said, "You had requested a porch from us, and we promised that we would do it. Our friends prepared its projects, and I gave instructions for it to be built." He said that the porch will be built with the words "Hopefully, we will build a better structure here that will protect you and the shoppers from rain and sun."
