Malatya Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Services Department has changed the hours of ferry services on Karakaya Dam Lake. Following the changes regarding ferry services and hours, new regulations were made.
Following the change in ferry services and hours serving between Battalgazi and Baskil, the first voyage at Karakaya Dam Lake will be made by Malatya at 07.30, by Baskil at 08.15 - the last trips will be made by Malatya at 16.30, and by Baskil at 17.15.

It was stated by the Metropolitan Municipality that additional trips can be organized if necessary outside the ferry hours, and that no vehicle group has priority over the other during ferry transportation. It was also reported that there are two separate classifications for vehicle loading: those with a height of up to 230 cm and those with a height of over 230 cm.
On weekends, both ferries will wait at Baskil pier, and if the number of ferries is not sufficient, additional ferries will be organized depending on the density. If there are fewer than 15 vehicles in the one-sided pier area, no additional trips will be made. Citizens will be able to follow the ferry schedules on the website malatya.bel.tr/hizmetrehberi/feribotsefersaatleri. They will be able to report their requests and complaints about ferry services to the Malatya Metropolitan Municipality Public Transportation Services Branch Directorate at (0422) 377 13 43 and also to the Call Center at 444 51 44 7/24 during working hours.
