Within the scope of social municipality projects, Bergama Municipality provides support to students of various ages, from primary school to university, in many areas. Literacy sets for students who are just starting primary school, university preparation courses, hobby courses, and education assistance for 8 months for the families of higher education students are among the services of Bergama Municipality.

TRAINING SET FOR STUDENTS JUST STARTING SCHOOL

Literacy kits for new students in primary school, which Bergama Mayor Hakan Koştu started after taking office, are distributed to all students, including private schools, throughout the district. More than 1500 thousand educational sets were distributed throughout the district, where an average of 7 students start primary school annually.

THOUSAND STUDENTS RECEIVE EDUCATION PER YEAR AT THE LIFELONG EDUCATION CENTER

University preparation courses are also organized at the Lifelong Learning Center throughout the academic year. In the center, where there are 20 different courses, training is provided in various fields, from university preparation courses to music courses, from robotic coding to chess, from yoga to folk games. More than 5 thousand students attended the courses at the center, where the KPSS course will also be opened. In 5 years, nearly 2 students took university preparation courses and nearly 500 students took part in hobby courses.

SUPPORT TO THE FAMILIES OF HIGHER EDUCATION STUDENTS

Nearly 8 families were supported with the tuition assistance provided for 1300 months to the families of students studying in higher education. The support provided by the families of university students who have difficulty studying due to economic reasons is increasing every year.

HAKAN RUNNED; WE WORK FOR OUR YOUTH AND FAMILIES

Bergama Mayor Hakan Koştu said that they work for all citizens from 7 to 77; “We work day and night for our citizens of all ages, starting from our youth, who are our future, to the elderly. We contribute to the future of our youth with courses, trainings and seminars, along with our support starting with the education set in primary school. We always support our young people with our university preparation course and the support we provide to the families of our children who have passed the university. KPSS course will be implemented very soon for our young people who have graduated from university.”
