While Mayor Büyükkılıç was welcomed with great interest and love in the city after the announcement of his candidacy for the Metropolitan Municipality, he was also welcomed with enthusiasm and excitement by the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality staff.
Mayor Büyükkılıç, who was welcomed with the anthems of the Mehter Band, torches and carnations, and the Chairman of the National Defense Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Hulusi Akar, AK Party Provincial Chairman Fatih Üzüm, AK Party Kayseri Deputies Ayşe Böhürler, Şaban Çopuroğlu and S. Bayar Özsoy, MHP Deputy Baki Ersoy, MHP Kayseri Provincial Mayor Seyit Demirezen and district mayors were welcomed by Metropolitan Municipality administrators and employees at the entrance of the Presidency.
Addressing the Metropolitan Municipality staff in front of the entrance of the Presidency, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç said, “I would like to thank my fellow citizens who did not leave us alone, both in Ankara, on the roads, and in the evening during our visit in the presence of His Excellency Seyyid Burhaneddin, the spiritual architect of our city, since the time our President was entrusted with his duty yesterday. Mayor Büyükkılıç emphasized that they will continue to serve without alienating or discriminating anyone and continued his words as follows:
“In order to bear the burden that our esteemed President has placed on our shoulders and to deliver these services without segregation, we will hopefully carry our city to the future with our new projects by further developing in the future works as we have done so far. If we are providing these services together, if this task has been entrusted to me today, it is the result of your efforts, your sincerity and the work of our brothers at all levels. I would like to share that, while performing these services in our city, we will remember our martyrs once again, praying for God's mercy, and hopefully try to be worthy of them within this understanding.
