New Border Gate Signal from President Erdoğan

In his speech at the "Turkey-Iran Business Forum" held at the Presidential Complex within the scope of Iranian President İbrahim Reisi's visit to Turkey, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan pointed out that some Turkish companies expect concrete steps to be taken to solve the problems they face in Iran.

President Erdoğan stated that he believes that these steps will pave the way for more investments from Turkey to Iran and said, "We will encourage our companies to make more investments in Iran within the framework of a win-win approach."

Repeating his proposal to mutually eliminate the fuel price differences that victimize carriers in terms of the development of bilateral trade, Erdoğan noted that meeting the demands of Turkish air transportation companies to remove frequency restrictions in Iran or set a higher limit will also increase commercial contacts.

Stating that they see benefits in resuming Tehran-Van passenger train services, President Erdoğan said, “We are pleased that Turkey is the most preferred tourism destination of our Iranian brothers. We wish this trend to continue. I think that the interest of our business people in this meeting shows how willing Turkish entrepreneurs are to invest in Iran. “It is in our hands to turn this intense interest into concrete results.” said.

In his speech, President Erdoğan emphasized that despite all the difficulties, initiatives to increase mutual trade should be continued.

Erdoğan reiterated that we will sincerely support every step taken to develop our economic and commercial relations.
