Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem Yüce attended the "Mercy to Our Martyrs, Support for Palestine, Curse on Israel" rally organized by the National Will Platform with nearly 400 non-governmental organizations.

Mayor Yüce, who participated in the march from Galata Bridge to Galata Square after the morning prayer performed at Hagia Sophia Mosque, accompanied the historical rally with hundreds of thousands of people. The meeting, held on the first day of the year, continued with melodies and the recitation of the Holy Quran.

President Yüce said, “12 of our Turkish soldiers were martyred in the Claw Lock Operation carried out in the north of Iraq. May God accept their martyrdom. We know very well that the blood of our martyrs has never been left on the ground and will never remain. Whoever threatens our peace and brotherhood within the borders of this country will receive the necessary response from our security forces. "On this occasion, I once again wish God's mercy to our 12 Mehmetçik who were martyred in Operation Claw Lock, all our martyrs, and our little babies and brothers who were martyred under Israeli oppression in Gaza."

WHAT HAPPENED WILL GO AWAY IN HISTORY AS A BLACK STAIN

President Yüce emphasized that one cannot be good with oppression and said, “We are in Istanbul to commemorate our beloved martyrs and to shout out the oppression in Gaza. Today, we came together with hundreds of thousands of our brothers and sisters here with the slogan "Mercy to Our Martyrs, Support for Palestine, Curse on Israel". We will continue to shout out the truth until the oppression in Gaza ends and Israel is held accountable. Israel and all the countries that support it should know very well that there can never be peace through oppression. "All these atrocities are a black mark on the pages of history, and one day Israel will be held accountable for all the war crimes committed," he said.
