Investment Thanks from Kocaeli to President Erdoğan

IT WILL EXTEND FROM THE GULF TO KARTEPE

Mayor Büyükakın stated that the first stage of the 35 km long Northern Metro Line, which starts from Körfez district and covers Derince, İzmit and Kartepe, included in the investment program, is 26 km long, and said, "Tender preparations will be completed and started in the coming period. There are three station points in the Gulf, one of which will be right near our chamber of commerce. There are two more stops towards Izmit. In the second stage, there are three more stations towards Atalar District. "It will be started primarily by the Gulf district, and the region will make a huge contribution to solving the public transportation problem," he said.

Pointing out that the 95 billion TL investment volume of the metro is almost 2,5 times the size of the Metropolitan Municipality's budget, Mayor Büyükakın said, "The fact that such a resource has been allocated from the central government's budget and that this will be done has a serious contribution to the local use of our city's resources. Our President welcomed our request for the transfer of the investment in the metro line between Gebze-Darıca OSB to the Ministry of Transport. Now it has included a very valuable metro project for our city in its investment program. "I would like to express my gratitude to our President Erdoğan on behalf of my city," he said.
