Afyonkarahisar Mayor Mehmet Zeybek noted that the 'cable car' project, which has been the dream of the city for many years, is nearing completion.
The first council meeting of 2024 was held. At the January council meeting held under the chairmanship of Mayor Mehmet Zeybek, 44 articles were discussed and decided.
Mayor Zeybek started his speech by wishing that the first parliamentary meeting of 2024 would be beneficial and talked about the investments and activities made in 2023. Then, touching on the issue of the cable car under construction, Mayor Zeybek said, “Our cable car project is nearing its end. A freight elevator is being installed where the Çavuşbaş minibus stop is located. An elevator that can lift 60 – 70 tons of materials. Almost all of the materials we procured from abroad arrived in our city. After the installation of the freight elevator, only the installation process of the facility above and below the Castle remains. The installation team is an experienced team that carries out most of the cable car construction. "This project will be completed soon," he said.
The meeting then ended with discussing the agenda items.
