President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the AK Party Ankara District Mayor Candidates Promotion Meeting at ATO Congresium. In addition to local politics, President Erdoğan also made references to the main agenda and the opposition's attitudes.
OPPOSITION CRITICISM FROM ERDOĞAN
Stating that there are no other political structures that attach importance to visionary projects other than the AK Party and the People's Alliance, President Erdoğan said that the opposition cannot exist to serve the country and neglects the cities. Erdoğan blamed the opposition by saying, "Whatever they said before the election, they did the opposite when they came to power," and noted that they did everything except a solution. Erdoğan stated that they were talking about the years spent without work or service, boasting about the groundbreaking ceremonies in Turkey's three largest metropolitan cities, and noted that the nation will be held accountable for this at the ballot box on March 31.
In his speech, President Erdoğan made a separate reference to Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor candidate Turgut Altınok and said, "I wholeheartedly believe that Ankara will enter its golden age, thanks to the projects of our brother Turgut Altınok, who made history with the service epic he wrote in Keçiören, in the metropolitan city."
Taking the floor from the participants in the hall, President Erdoğan said, "Let's make such a voice that it can be heard in our 81 provinces," and added, "Are we ready for the cities of the Turkey Century? Are we determined for the cities of the Turkish Century? Are we there, women, young people and men, to go door to door for the cities of the Turkish Century? Are we painting the map of Türkiye with the colors of the People's Alliance on election night? Are we paving the way for a great and powerful Turkey? "I pray that God will preserve our unity and solidarity until our last breath," he said.
PEOPLE'S ALLIANCE'S ANKARA DISTRICT CANDIDATES ARE CLEAR
President Erdoğan then introduced the MHP candidates in Ankara's Gölbaşı, Ayaş, Polatlı, Kalecik and Etimesgut districts and the AK Party candidates in the other 20 districts of the People's Alliance, by calling them to the stage one by one with Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Turgut Altınok and party staff.
