How much is the 2024 Home Care Assistance, Elderly and Disabled Pensions?

Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced that there has been an increase of nearly 50 percent in elderly and disabled pensions within the scope of social service models, as well as home care assistance and social and economic support payments.

In his statement, Minister Göktaş stated that following the new regulation in the civil servant salary coefficient for January, the wages within the scope of social service models were adjusted.

Stating that they aim to improve the capacity and services of social services and aid targeting the entire society in the "Turkey Century", Minister Göktaş stated that they will continue to develop new service models and areas and produce solutions to new challenges and risks that will arise. Stating that low-income individuals and families are supported in line with their needs with the social service models implemented, Göktaş said, “With the increases in social aid payments, we are increasing the elderly pension from 2 thousand 348 lira to 3 thousand 504 lira. "In addition, we are increasing the monthly salaries of our citizens with a disability rate between 40-69 percent from 1874 liras to 2 thousand 797 liras, and the monthly salaries of our citizens with a disability report of 70 percent and above from 2 thousand 811 liras to 4 thousand 196 liras," he said.

Minister Göktaş stated that the disabled relative's pension paid to citizens with disabled relatives under the age of 18 increased from 1.874 lira to 2 thousand 797 TL.

LAST YEAR 116,2 BILLION LIRA “HOME CARE ASSISTANCE”

Emphasizing the importance of protecting and strengthening the family unity of disabled people by living with their families and relatives without leaving their own social environment, Göktaş reminded that they have implemented the Home Care Assistance application in this context.

Stating that they provided a total of 116,2 billion lira of "Home Care Assistance" last year, Minister Göktaş said, "We provide Home Care Assistance to an average of 560 thousand disabled citizens monthly. "We increased the Home Care Assistance from 5 thousand 97 lira to 7 thousand 608 lira for the January-July period of this year," he said. Emphasizing that they are based on the principle of supporting children primarily with their families, Göktaş stated that they offer Social and Economic Support (SED) services to families in need for their children.

Meanwhile, Minister Göktaş emphasized that the economic support amounts for SED were also adjusted and said, “We increased the amount of economic support per child in the SED service from 3 thousand 571 lira to 5 thousand 330 lira. "In addition, we are increasing the average monthly payments made to foster families per child from 5 lira to 705 lira," he said.
