Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya announced that the organized crime organization known as the "Scots Gang" was collapsed with the "Operation Cage-17", which was held simultaneously in Istanbul-based Tekirdağ and Gaziantep, and 38 suspicious persons, including the ringleader of the organization, were captured in the operation.

Stating that they will make life difficult for organized crime organizations, poison dealers and those who disturb the peace of the Turkish people, Minister Yerlikaya said about the operation: “By the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command KOM Branch Directorate; In the "Cage-17" Operations organized against the organized crime organization known as the "Scots Gang", which established an organization to commit crimes in Istanbul, Tekirdağ and Gaziantep and engaged in "Drug Production and Trade", 38 suspicious persons, especially the ringleader of the organization, were caught. 8 of them were arrested. "The operations of the others are continuing." he said.

Minister Yerlikaya, within the scope of the operations, 23 kilos of cocaine, 95 kilos of heroin, 165 kilos of skunk, 15 kilos of methamphetamine, 10 thousand 500 synthetic narcotic pills, guns, a large amount of gold, TL and foreign currency were seized, and according to initial determinations, their approximate value was 200 kilos. He reported that all assets of the organized crime organization, worth 250 million TL, were seized.
