Antalya Metropolitan Municipality continues to work feverishly to turn the 1 km long area between Boğaçayı Bridge and the Port into a new living space. The project, which was implemented for a cost of 200 million liras, consists of an area of approximately 23 thousand square meters, of which 74 thousand square meters is green area. The ongoing works within the scope of the 2nd Stage Konyaaltı Beach Project are aimed to be completed in a short time and made available to the public in the summer months.
The work carried out by Antalya Metropolitan Municipality within the scope of the Konyaaltı Coastal Landscaping Project continues at full speed. Dozens of trucks and construction equipment are working in the area between Boğaçayı and Liman.
23 THOUSAND SQUARE METERS OF GREEN AREA
Giving information about the works, Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Technical Affairs Department Head Serkan Temuçin said that they implemented the 1nd Stage Konyaaltı Beach Project with Antalya Metropolitan Municipality's own resources in an approximately 2 km long area between Boğaçayı and the Port. Stating that the work is continuing rapidly, Temuçin said, “We are doing an environmental planning project here. Our project consists of an area of 74 thousand square meters and there is a green area of 23 thousand square meters. Our project also includes areas such as running paths and bicycle paths. There are parking areas and observation terraces. "We are doing it with a project cost of 200 million lira, including VAT," he said.
IT IS DONE WITH THE EQUITY OF THE MUNICIPALITY
Stating that they made arrangements both in the north and south of the road, Temuçin gave the following information: “While we are doing a landscaping project with tiles on the south side of the road, we are removing the old concrete stones on the north side and replacing them with natural stone. When our project is completed, we will have completed a beautiful project on the Konyaaltı coast, one of the most beautiful beaches of Antalya. The area between Boğaçayı and the Port was put out to tender twice, and our mayor instructed that it be built with the municipality's own resources, with the build-operate-transfer model. We strive to create a pleasant area where our citizens can swim with pleasure. “We are planning to complete the project and open it in March.”
THERE WILL BE PARKING PARKING AND BUFFETS
Within the project, there will be pocket car parks with a capacity of 370 vehicles and a separate parking area for buses. In accordance with the coastal law, there will be 150 buffets and sun lounger places 5 meters apart, and a 1000-meter running and 1000-meter cycling path.
