The Kırıkkale-Çorum-Samsun high-speed train line project, announced by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, stands out as an important project that will connect the Central Black Sea region to the inner regions. Within the scope of the project, 293 stations will be built on the 7 kilometer long route.

With the completion of the project, the time between Kırıkkale and Çorum will be reduced to 1 hour 15 minutes, and the time between Çorum and Samsun will be reduced to 2 hours and 15 minutes. This means that transportation to the region will be significantly easier.

It is anticipated that the project will make significant economic and social contributions. With the completion of the project, positive effects such as increasing the tourism potential of the region, development of trade and industry, and increasing employment and exports are expected.

While the Delice-Çorum high-speed train project, which is the first stage of the Delice-Çorum-Samsun high-speed train project, was put out to tender in 2024, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure announced that 3 stations will be established between 7 provinces within the scope of the project and that 12 million passengers and 14 million tons of freight are planned to be transported annually on the route. The entire project is aimed to be completed in 2026.
