As part of the 100th anniversary celebrations of the Republic, Aydın Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams opened a stand in Söke's Republic Square. Citizens showed great interest in the stands where the equipment used by the gendarmerie personnel was exhibited.
The exhibition opened in Cumhuriyet Square was attended by Söke District Governor Ali Akça, Söke Mayor Dr. Mustafa İberya Arıkan, Söke District Police Chief Fatih Demiralp, Söke District Gendarmerie Commander Major Mehmet Emre Mengi and many citizens attended.
While visiting the stands, Söke District Governor Ali Akça said, "Such an event was organized to introduce and demonstrate the activities carried out by the Aydın Provincial Gendarmerie Command and the equipment it used and to establish a bridge with the public. We were very happy to see that our citizens of Söke participated in this event with great pleasure and appreciated the activities carried out. Security forces are there for us. May God not let stones touch your feet. "I wish you ease in your work," he said.
