Distinguished Observer Day activities of the Erciyes-2023 Exercise were completed with the participation of Land Forces Commander General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, 4th Corps Commander Major General Ahmet Kurumahmut and other military officials.

The "Erciyes-1 Exercise", which was held at the 2023st Commando Brigade Command stationed in Kayseri and started at night, ended with an airborne operation.

Within the scope of the exercise scenario, 12 paratrooper commandos on C-130 and C-160 transport planes, which took off from the 180th Air Transport Main Base Command, landed in the region.

Commandos who jumped with parachutes carried out an operation against a representative enemy combat center.

A target was hit with a SIHA in the area cleared of terrorists. The targets at the dominant point of the region were destroyed with the artillery dropped by helicopter into the enemy area.

After the region was taken under control, AFAD and Red Crescent officials were brought to the area by helicopter for humanitarian aid.

The exercise ended with a respect jump with the flags of 10 countries.

The United Kingdom and Bahrain had observers in the exercise, in which Azerbaijan, Georgia, Pakistan, Libya, Spain, Italy and Uzbekistan participated.

652 aircraft, including 67 transport aircraft, 354 attack helicopters, 5 general purpose helicopters and 2 cargo helicopters, were used in the exercise, in which 6 personnel took part with 2 vehicles and 17 weapons of different diameters and types.
