The construction of the Ankara-İzmir High Speed ​​Train (YHT) line in Afyonkarahisar Sinanpaşa district continues.

Sinanpaşa District Governor Yaşar Artar visited the Ankara-İzmir High Speed ​​​​Train (YHT) construction site and visited Afyonkarahisar Central II. He inspected the Organized Industrial Zone OIZ and received information about the work done from the authorities. In the region where construction is progressing rapidly, District Governor Artar also listened to the demands of the companies.

Ankara-İzmir YHT Line

Ankara-İzmir YHT Line is a high-speed train line that will connect Ankara, the capital of Turkey, to Izmir, the largest city of the Aegean Region. The line is 508 kilometers long and is being built with a speed of 200 kilometers/hour. With the completion of the line, travel time between Ankara and Izmir will decrease from 14 hours to 3 hours 30 minutes.

The construction of the line started in 2017 and is planned to be completed in three stages. The first stage is the Ankara-Afyonkarahisar section and will be completed in 2022. The second stage is the Afyonkarahisar-Uşak-Eşme section and is planned to be completed in 2023. The third stage is the Eşme-Manisa-İzmir section and is planned to be completed in 2024.

With the completion of the line, fast and comfortable transportation will be provided between Turkey's two largest cities. In addition, it is expected that significant contributions will be made to regional development and tourism with the completion of the line.

Route of the line

Ankara-İzmir YHT Line starts from Ankara, passes through Eskişehir, Afyonkarahisar, Kütahya, Uşak, Manisa and İzmir and ends in İzmir. The route of the line is as follows:

  • Ankara – Polatlı
  • Polatlı – Eskişehir
  • Eskisehir – Afyonkarahisar
  • Afyonkarahisar – Uşak
  • Uşak – Eşme
  • Esme – Salihli
  • Salihli – Turgutlu
  • Turgutlu – Manisa
  • Manisa – Izmir
