One of the biggest events of sports tourism in the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey, MXGP TURKEY, where the world's most important motocrossers compete, started in Afyonkarahisar under the auspices of the Presidency.
The race, watched by 180 billion people in 3.5 countries of the world, offers a unique promotion opportunity for Turkey and Afyonkarahisar.
Afyonkarahisar Motor Sports Center will host the World Motocross Championship (MXGP), which determines the best in motocross, one of the most important organizations of the International Motorcycle Federation (FIM). Organized in countries such as Argentina, Italy, Switzerland, Portugal, Spain, France, Latvia, Germany, Indonesia, Czechia, Belgium, Finland, Sweden, Netherlands and England, the championship is among the most watched races in the world.
4 races at the same time
In MXGP Turkey, where the champion was determined last year, 4 races are held simultaneously in world and European classification:
- World Senior Motocross Championship (MXGP)
- World Women's Motocross Championship (MXWOMEN)
- World Junior Motocross Championship (MX2)
- European Motocross Championship (EMX250)
Nearly 25 racers with more than 150 teams, including factory teams such as Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, Husqvarna, GasGas, TM and Fantic, participate in the races to be held in Turkey.
