The 93-kilometer section of Aydın Denizli Highway, one of Turkey's most important highway projects, will be put into service in the 100th anniversary of the Republic. Aydın Denizli Highway is an important part of the uninterrupted highway network that starts from Kapıkule and reaches the Mediterranean Sea by traversing the Marmara and Aegean Regions via Istanbul.

The total length of the highway is 163 kilometers. 68 kilometers of it is located within the borders of Denizli and 95 kilometers of Aydın. The highway, which was implemented with the Build-Operate-Transfer method, will connect the Aegean's leading industrial, commercial and tourism centers, Denizli and Aydın.

With the completion of the Aydın-Denizli Highway, the travel time on the current route will be reduced from 2 hours and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 15 minutes. Thus, a total of 1,9 billion liras will be saved annually, 500 billion liras from time and 2,4 million liras from fuel. Carbon emissions will also be reduced by 61 thousand tons.

Within the scope of the highway, 94 bridges, 19 viaducts, 79 underpasses and 573 culverts will be built. The 62-kilometer section of the highway, where 55 million cubic meters of excavation and 93 million cubic meters of filling has been carried out so far, located within the borders of Aydın, will be put into service on October 29, 2023. It is aimed that the entire project will be put into service in 2024.

Aydın-Denizli Highway will make significant contributions to the economic and social development of the region. The highway will increase trade and tourism, encouraging employment and investment in the region. In addition, along with the highway, the transportation infrastructure of the region will be modernized and traffic safety will increase.
