Last year's champion Tim Gajser won the Turkish race in the MXGP, the most important race in the history of the world motocross, while Liam Everts climbed to the top of the podium in the MX2 class.

In the first leg of the MXGP TURKEY race, Kawasaki racer Frenchman Romain Febvre, who was in the second place in the world ranking, came first. Last year's champion, Slovak Tim Gajser, finished the first race in second place. French Maxime Renaux of Yamaha finished third. Spain's GASGAS racer Jorge Prado, who is in the first place in the world ranking, finished the first race of MXGP TURKEY in 13th place.

The second leg of MXGP TURKEY, held in the afternoon, was won by last year's champion Slovak Tim Gajser from Honda. Yamaha's Maxime Renaux was second and Kawasaki's Franso Romain Febvre was third.

Tim Gajser finished first, Romain Febvre second and Maxime Renaux third in MXGP TURKEY's overall scoring. World leader Jorge Prado finished MXGP TURKEY in 10th place.

In the MXGP world ranking, Spanish Jorge Prado from GASGAS retained his first place with 841 points. In terms of brands, GASGAS was the leader with 853 points, Yamaha was second with 849 points, and Kawasaki was third with 790 points.

LIAM EVERTS WINS MX2

German Simon Laengenfelder from GASGAS won the first leg of the MX2 TURKEY race, while Belgian Jago Geerts from Yamaha came in second and Belgian Liam Everts from KTM came in third. Maintaining the leadership in the world class in MX2, KTM's Italian Andrea Adamo had unfortunate problems and finished the first leg of the MX2 Turkey race in 10th place.

Norwegian Kevin Horgmo from Kawasaki won the second race of MX2 TURKEY. Belgium's Liam Everts from KTM was second, and Husqvarna's Roan Van De Moosdijk was third. Keeping his lead, Andrea Adamo finished the second race in 5th place.

In MX2 TURKEY, after two matches, Liam Everts won, Kevin Horgmo came second and Jago Geerts came third.

In the MX2 World Junior Motocross Championship, KTM's Italian Andrea Adamo rose to 732 points and maintained his leadership. Belgium's Liam Everts from KTM took second place with 684 points, while Belgian Jago Geerts from Yamaha took third place with 650 points.

Yamaha is the leader with 866 points, KTM is second with 835 points and Husqvarna is third with 795 points.

The 2023 World Women's Motocross Champion has been named Kawasaki racer Courtney Duncan from New Zealand. New Zealand's Courtney Duncan thus won her 4th World Championship, while Kawasaki took the lead in teams. In the European Motocross Championship (EMX250), Italian Andrea Bonacorsi from Yamaha declared the championship with one race left.

Afyonkarahisar Governor Kübra Güran Yiğitbaşı, Afyonkarahisar Mayor Mehmet Zeybek, Afyonkarahisar Deputies İbrahim Yurdunuseven and Hasan Arslan, Kayseri Deputy Cahit Murat Cıngı, TÜRKSAT General Manager Hasan Hüseyin Ertok gave their awards to the winners.

Irmak Yıldırım took the track for the third time this year at the World Women's Championship for the first time from Turkey, while Selin Tınaz participated in the race as the second Turk in WMX. Yiğit Ali Selek, Efe Kemal Hıd, Ömer Uçum, Ata Yağız Kuzu, Mehmet Emin Musaoğlu, Beytullah Gurur and Mehmet Yiğit Kara competed in the European Motocross Championship.
