Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu will come to Afyonkarahisar on Saturday, September 2, to examine the areas under construction in the Ankara-İzmir High Speed Train line project.
After arriving in Afyonkarahisar in the morning, Minister Uraloğlu will first examine the Bayat Tunnel, which is under construction in Bayat district. Then it will pass to the Köroğlu Tunnel and make investigations here as well. Minister Uraloğlu will then inspect the construction sites in Afyonkarahisar and Sinanpaşa districts.
Uraloğlu will travel to Uşak and Manisa after his visit.
Minister Uraloğlu's visit to Afyonkarahisar is carried out in order to obtain information about the ongoing work of the Ankara-İzmir High Speed Train line project and to make evaluations about the progress of the project.
Ankara-İzmir High Speed Train line project is one of Turkey's most important infrastructure projects. Within the scope of the project, a 500 km high-speed train line will be built between Ankara and Izmir. With the completion of the project, the journey time between Ankara and Izmir will be reduced to 3 hours.
