Known as the race of champions, the stage of MXGP, the most important race in the history of world motorbikes, MXGP Turkey will be held in Afyonkarahisar on 100-2 September under the auspices of the Presidency in the 3th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey.

Four races are held simultaneously

In MXGP Turkey, where the champion was determined last year, four races will be held simultaneously in world and European classification on 2-3 September 2023:

”World Senior Motocross Championship (MXGP), World Women's Motocross Championship (MXWOMEN), World Junior Motocross Championship (MX2), European Motocross Championship (EMX250) ”

The champion in three classes will be determined in Afyonkarahisar

Competing with GASGAS, the new star of the race in MXGP, where the champion was determined last year, Spaniard Jorge Prado is in the first place with 821 points in the general classification. In second place is the French Kawasaki racer Romain Fevbre. Yamaha rider Swiss Jeremy Seewer is the other star athlete following this duo. If the Spanish Prado wins the race at Afyonkarahisar Motor Sports track, it will declare the 2023 World Championship in TURKEY. Again in MX2, KTM racer Italian Andrea Adamo comes to Turkey as the leader with 705 points.

The champions of the European Motocross Championship (EMX250) and the World Women's Championship (WMX) will be determined in Afyonkarahisar. Italian Andrea Bonacorsi competing for Yamaha with a point advantage in the European Championship, Kawasaki racer Courtney Duncan from New Zealand in the World Women's Championship, Spanish Daniela Guillen, GASGAS racer and Dutch Lotte Van Drunen, another Kawasaki racer, will open up to win the 2023 championship.

180 countries will get to know Turkey better

Considered as one of the most important races of motocross races, which are very popular worldwide, MXGP Turkey reaches nearly 7.3 billion viewers in 180 countries where 3.5 billion people live. Races in which world-famous motocross stars compete, this year MXGP and MX19 consisting of 2 stages, MXWOMEN consisting of 6 stages, EMX10 consisting of 250 stages will sweat for the podium.

The number of Turkish female racers in WMX increased to two

Many athletes from Turkey will also participate in the World and European Motocross races. In addition to Irmak Yıldırım, who has participated in the World Women's Motocross Championship for two years on behalf of our country, 2022 TURKISH Motocross Champion Selen Tınaz will compete in the women's class this year. Approximately 10 Turkish competitors will compete in the European race.

Contribution of at least 10 billion TL to the Turkish economy

The Turkey stage of MXGP, the world's most important motocross race, is being held for the sixth time this year. It was announced that MXGP Turkey contributed more than 5 billion TL to the country's economy in the week of the race alone. MXGP Turkey, which is the most important event for Turkey's sports economy and tourism, is expected to increase its contribution to the country's economy at least twice this year.

Türkiye promotion worth 300 million Euros

World-wide broadcasts and news of MXGP of Turkey, which won the award for the best publicity stage in the world last year, contribute to the promotion of Turkey in a huge heel. Last year, the published news and advertising value of MXGP of Turkey alone reached 300 million Euros.
