Mayor Mehmet Zeybek continues to bring innovations to Afyonkarahisar. Located in only a few cities in Turkey, the RC racetrack will open on Saturday, July 29 at 14:00. Afyonkarahisar Municipality, for the first time in Turkey, brought a race track to international standards in a university campus area.

Upon the request of Afyon Kocatepe University, Mayor Mehmet Zeybek and AKU Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Karakaş signed the "RC Park Soil Ground and Asphalt Ground Race Track" protocol. Continuing to bring the promised works to our city one by one, Zeybek President presented a new investment to the youth.

FIRST RACES WILL BE HELD THIS WEEKEND

Afyon Kocatepe University Rector Prof. Dr. Our Municipality, which rolled up its sleeves after the protocol signed with Mehmet Karakaş, brought an RC Track at international standards to our city. National and international races of radio controlled (RC) vehicles will be held in our city from now on. The TORC'23 races will take place this weekend.

IN INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS

RC model cars with remote control, which emerged with the development of technology, are the new passion of young people who are looking for an alternative sports field. President Mehmet Zeybek did not remain indifferent to the demand from young people and built an RC race area on a campus area for the first time in Turkey. Those who use RC model vehicles controlled by remote control will be able to train and race on the track we have built in the ANS Campus area.

Established on an area of ​​6 thousand square meters, the RC Model Vehicle Track will become a center of attraction for hobbyists. Expressing that our city can now host RC races, Zeybek President; With the slogan "Youth is Our Future", we continue to offer different activities, events and innovations to our university students who prefer our city.

“Both everyone from Afyonkarahisar and our university students will be able to benefit from this race area. We did not remain indifferent to the demand from our university, we said that we are ready to do our part if our young people want it. Races, which will be divided into two branches, On-Road and Off-Road, namely on-road and off-road vehicle types, can be easily held here. We rolled up our sleeves after the protocol we signed between our AKU Rector Mehmet Karakaş and our Municipality. We have completed and put into service the area where RC enthusiasts can race and have a productive time.
