A concert was held at Keçiören Yunus Emre Cultural Center by the Lower Entertainment Turkish Music Choir, which continues its activities as a neighborhood choir with the support of Keçiören Municipality. Citizens who filled the hall witnessed pleasant moments during the night where beautiful melodies were performed. Choir members, who exhibited classical Turkish Folk Music works with solo and choir performances, had an unforgettable musical feast for art lovers.
Congratulating the instrumental and vocal artists performing in the choir, Keçiören Mayor Turgut Altınok said, “We support all kinds of activities related to art. As Atatürk said, 'One of the life veins of the nations without art is broken'. There are values that make us who we are. Pain, love, longing, wars and separations… These are also the archives of our nation. Music and other branches of art are instruments that carry our history and culture to the future. We will continue to do our best to keep these instruments alive. I would like to thank each of our artists who showed their hearts with their voices, words and tunes at the concert.” he said.
