Kartal Mayor Gökhan Yüksel, who thanked everyone who contributed to the construction of the stadium and İmamoğlu, said, “The number of these facilities will increase. We want more fields and alternative places where amateur sports clubs train and play games in districts and local areas. I say that the number of these facilities will increase. After the speeches, İmamoğlu, Yüksel, and the Chairman of the Istanbul Amateur Sports Clubs Federation Ali Dusmez, and the children participating in the opening, the Yakacık Stadium was officially put into the service of the people of Kartal. İmamoğlu made the kick-off of the first exhibition match held at the stadium.
2nd and 3rd LEAGUE MATCHES CAN BE PLAYED IN THE STAT
Renovation work was started in June 2015 for the area owned by IMM and given to the use of Yakacık Sports Club in 2022. The area, which was a dirt field before the construction started, was changed to "FIFA approved synthetic turf" after the works. Thus, the area ceased to be a training ground and made professional 3rd league and 2nd league matches playable. At the facility, 20 amateur football teams will be able to play training and league matches. Approximately 2000 athletes belonging to the clubs in Kartal district will benefit from the facility. In the facility where there is a children's playground, a parking lot for 40 cars and a green area of 1150 square meters; There is a football field, a mini football field, a basketball court and a tribune for 778 people.
