Ankara Metropolitan Municipality FOMGET Youth and Sports Club Women's Football Team, which completed the Turkcell Women's Football Super League as champions, took the championship trophy to Anıtkabir.

Turkcell Women's Football Super League 2022-2023 season champion FOMGET Youth and Sports Club (GSK) Women's Football Team visited Anıtkabir.

Athletes, technical committees and managers, who went to the presence of the Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk with the championship trophy, held a moment of silence in front of the mausoleum, and then the National Anthem was sung.

After the ceremony at the mausoleum, the FOMGET group went to the Misakı National Tower.

ABB FOMGET GSK President Yalçın Demirkol, who signed the Anıtkabir Special Book, emphasized that they are proud to bring a football championship trophy to the Capital Ankara for the first time in the 100th anniversary of the Republic, and used the following expressions:

“The Founder of the Republic of Turkey, Great Leader Atatürk, As Ankara Metropolitan Municipality FOMGET Sports Club, whose shirt has the symbol of our capital Ankara, Anıtkabir, we are honored to bring the Turkcell Super League 100-2022 season championship trophy to the Capital Ankara for the first time in its history, on the 2023th anniversary of our Republic. We are in your presence. Aziz Atam, we promise that we will work with all our strength by raising smart, agile and moral athletes on the path you have opened, in line with the goals you have set, with the strength we receive from you. May your soul rest in peace, sleep well. Our club is with you forever.”

Demirkol, who made statements after the ceremony held in Anıtkabir, said:

“We are very proud and happy. This is the first time such a trophy has come to Ankara in its history. Among the European capitals, Ankara was the only capital without a championship cup. I think we beat our bad luck with this trophy. We offer our thanks and gratitude to our Mayor of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality and Honorary President of our Club, Mr. Mansur Yavaş, for his unwavering support to us.”
