Balamir Gündoğdu, Secretary General of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, examined the work on the Yeşilova Solaklar Bridge Interchange Project. In the examination, accompanied by Ayşegül Yalçınkaya, Head of the Department of Science Affairs, Secretary General Gündoğdu met with company officials.
INSTRUCTIONS “TO COMPLETE SHORTLY”
Gündoğdu, who received information about the works on the bridge junction project, emphasized that the project will make the traffic flow on the Kandıra road uninterrupted. Noting that the bridge that will provide the transition to Yeşilova District will facilitate the transitions here, Gündoğdu also instructed the company officials to complete the works in a shorter time than the determined time.
SIGNALIZATION WILL BE REMOVED
Within the scope of the Yeşilova-Solaklar Interchange Project, the traffic flow on the Kandıra road will be made uninterrupted with two interchanges that will pass over the D-605 İzmit-Kandıra Highway. With the new regulation, which will provide transit passage with the removal of the signalized intersection, transit will be possible without waiting at the traffic lights. Vehicles coming from the direction of Kandıra or Izmit will be able to easily pass through the Yeşilova and Solaklar Karadenizliler Districts without waiting by using the crossroads.
2 BRIDGE INTERCHANGE
Two crossroads will be built on the D-605 İzmit-Kandıra Highway. Coming from the direction of Kandıra and from Yeşilova District to Solaklar Karadenizliler Districts, the bridge crossing will be 40 meters long; The bridge crossing, which will provide the transition from the Izmit direction to the Yesilova District, will be built with a length of 55 meters.
TRAFFIC IS COMING
Within the scope of the project, Zübeyde Hanım Street is being extended and turned into an alternative road. With the new road to be built to the north of the highway, Zübeyde Hanım Street will be connected to Altıncıoğlu Street. Three bridges will be built on the new road to be built. The new road, which will be 3 lanes and 2 meters wide, will connect Yeşilova Mahallesi to Karadenizliler Mahallesi. With the roundabout to be built in Karadenizliler District, traffic will be regulated.
