The Şile-Ağva-Kandıra Highway has been designed in the standard of a divided road with a total length of 22,9 kilometers, the 2 kilometer Şile-Ağva section with 3×24,2 lanes and the 2 kilometers Ağva-Kandıra section with 2×47,1 lanes.

In the section opened, there are 1.984 double tube tunnels with a total length of 3 meters, 1.711 viaducts with a length of 6 meters, 189 underpass bridges of 2 meters, 191 intersection bridges of 3 meters, and 4 intersections of different levels, namely Kabakoz, Manşar, Karacaköy and Şuayipli.

By transforming the existing road, which serves as a single road standard, to a divided road, traffic safety is increased by relieving the congestion experienced in the region, especially on weekends.

Sile-Ağva-Kandıra Road, which is located on the route where tourism centers such as Şile, Ağva, Kandıra and Kefken are located, as well as industrial centers that have increased with the construction of the Northern Marmara Highway, will provide high standard transportation with the comfort of a divided road.

With the completion of the construction works on the Şile-Ağva-Kandıra Road, the Black Sea Coastal Road will be connected to the Northern Marmara Motorway with the divided road, and it will also be an important transportation alternative that will provide access to the region in case of a possible Marmara earthquake.

With the project that will reduce the travel time from 100 minutes to 40 minutes; A total of 256 million liras will be saved annually, 111,5 million liras from time and 367,5 million liras from fuel. In addition, carbon emissions will be reduced by 23.151 tons.

Within the scope of the main work items of the project; 4 million 995 thousand cubic meters of earthwork, 450 thousand cubic meters of concrete, 48 thousand 500 tons of iron, 255 thousand tons of plantmix foundation and sub-base, 160 thousand tons of bituminous hot mix, 10.600 square meters of horizontal marking, 1 thousand 500 square meters of vertical marking and 24 kilometers of guardrails. done.​ ​
