The National Electric Train started its maiden voyage on May 28 at 20.10 with the Ada Express from Adapazarı. The National Electric Train, in which 223 passengers travel for the first time, will make 5 times a day on the Adapazarı-Gebze route.
National Electric Train produced by Turkey Rail System Vehicles Industry AŞ (TÜRASAŞ) was delivered to TCDD Transportation General Directorate with a ceremony attended by Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu on April 27.
The National Electric Train, which will travel on the Adapazarı and Gebze route, will serve at 11 stops and travel approximately 500 kilometers per day.
National Electric Train Will Make A Difference With Its Comfort
The train, which emphasizes passenger comfort in its design, has comfortable and ergonomic seats.
The train, which provides Wi-Fi access during the journey, also has a cafeteria section, 2 compartments for disabled passengers, a disabled boarding system and a baby care room.
Tea, coffee and cold soft drinks will be sold on the national electric train.
The national electric train set, in which domestic and national facilities are used from design to production, has an operating speed of 160 kilometers.
The train, which can be produced with 3, 4, 5 and 6 vehicles to be used in regional or intercity trains according to operational needs, has a capacity of 5 passengers in 324-vehicle configuration.
