The first episode of the documentary “Target Kızılelma”, which tells about the development stages of Bayraktar Kızılelma, Turkey's first unmanned fighter aircraft, and Baykar's journey of developing an unmanned aerial vehicle, met with the audience at the Istanbul Congress Center.

Speaking at the screening of the documentary “Target Kızılelma”, the development adventure of Bayraktar Kızılelma MIUS (Combat Unmanned Aircraft System) that opened the doors of a new era in Turkey's defense and aerospace industry and made a great impression all over the world, Selçuk Bayraktar made the following statements:

“I would like to express my gratitude to all of you for coming to the first screening of the Target Red Apple documentary, which tells the 20-year story of our struggle to bring national and unique unmanned aerial vehicles to our country, for not leaving us alone, sharing our excitement, and not sparing your prayers. The Red Apple journey has never been easy, as it has been in our history. We have experienced an intense adventure, which is as difficult as life itself, with its ups and downs, bitter and sweet, but flourishing with perseverance, effort, friendship and good morals. Tonight, I would like to share with you the message I wrote inside Kızılelma's flight control computer after the first flight of Bayraktar Kızılelma, the first unmanned fighter aircraft of our country. Of course, Red Apple, a flying robot, will not understand this message. It was written to be a historical note to remind us and our future generations with what spirit and for what purpose this struggle was fought at this point in history.”

The development story of Bayraktar Kızılelma, Turkey's first unmanned fighter aircraft, which was developed by Baykar with national and original resources, and Baykar's journey to develop a high-tech national and original unmanned aerial vehicle for nearly 20 years are featured in the documentary "Target Kızılelma". .

For the documentary directed by Altuğ Gültan and Burak Aksoy, who directed the Akıncı documentary, the shooting took place for months at the Özdemir Bayraktar National Technology Center in Istanbul and the Akıncı Flight Training and Test Center in the Çorlu district of Tekirdağ, where the Bayraktar Kızılelma test activities were carried out. The documentary project, which started in February 2022, was completed in approximately 9 months.

Bayraktar Kızılelma, which has a take-off weight of 8.5 tons and a payload capacity of 1500 kg, will also have high situational awareness with the national AESA radar. Bayraktar Kızılelma, which will use all nationally developed ammunition, will be able to operate with smart fleet autonomy.

Bayraktar Kızılelma, which can perform air-air combat like manned warplanes with aggressive maneuvers, unlike unmanned aerial vehicles, will also provide effectiveness against air targets with domestic air-air munitions.
