China's Solar Power Plant in Inner Mongolia Sets Production Record

Located in China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the country's largest trough solar thermal power plant produced 31 million kilowatt-hours of electricity in the 12-month period ending March 330.

The 100-megawatt solar power generation and storage project, designed by China Shipbuilding New Power Corporation and built in Urad Central Sanjak, passed the examination for national acceptance in October 2021. General Manager of the power plant, Zhu Shengguo, noted that in the first quarter of this year, the company solved a technical problem with the internal cleaning of the system in winter, and the power generation increased by 19 million 500 thousand kilowatt-hours compared to the same period of the previous year. The power plant is currently operating 24 hours at full capacity and can meet the daily electricity needs of 300 households.
