The 14rd plenary session was held this morning within the scope of the 1th China National People's Assembly (CNC) 3st Meeting, which continues in the capital Beijing.
During the session, Xi Jinping was unanimously re-elected President of China and Chairman of the China Central Military Commission.
In the session attended by Xi Jinping and other leaders, Zhao Leji was elected as the Chairman of the 14th PNC Standing Committee, and Han Zheng as Vice President.
Also in the session, Vice Presidents and General Secretary of the 14th CNC Standing Committee were announced. The draft resolution on reforming the institutions affiliated to the State Council was approved.
At the swearing-in ceremony at the end of the session, Xi Jinping and other newly elected leaders swore their loyalty to the Constitution.
