PARIS GRAND PALAIS Ephémère Art Capital Exposition 2023 hosted art lovers. Turkish Painter Aslıhan Çiftgül represented our country with his oil paintings “Harem” and “Purity” at the fair, attended by 16 artists, 2400 of whom were Turkish, and visited by more than 40.000 art lovers. “Harem”, based on the photograph of the late photographer Sami Güner, was admired by the audience.

Painter Çiftgül expressed his thoughts on the magnificent fair as follows:

“First of all, in these days when we are in deep sorrow due to the earthquake disaster experienced by our country, it was pleasing to have the opportunity to represent our country with our art on a platform where we interact with artists and art lovers from all over the world, together with all my Turkish painter friends who took part in the fair. I would like to thank Armand Berberian, who provided us with this opportunity, for all his hard work, sincere and selfless efforts, and for his warm and sincere friendship.

I think that I could be useful in explaining the Ottoman Harem-i Hümayun to the world, due to the subject of my “Harem” painting at the fair. I am also happy to be involved in different and important projects, which I believe I can contribute to the image of Turkey and Turkish Women on the international platform, with my art, by contacting many officials, especially the interview we will hold in the coming days with ArtMag, one of the respected art magazines in France. I hear.

In the coming days, we are signing off on a charity project that we will carry out in partnership with one of the award-winning French artists, Cristophe Baudin, which will be organized under the leadership of Pierre Coureux, the founding president of AIAM Culture and Art Association. A work that we will produce by working together will be presented to art lovers in an auction to be held in France for the benefit of our people affected by the earthquake disaster in our country. We believe that this project will make a lot of noise in terms of developing friendship and cultural relations between the two countries, as well as supporting earthquake victims.”
