Ankara Metropolitan Municipality's YKS Preparation Courses Continue

Trainings continue in the preparation courses for the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS), which was initiated by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB), Department of Women and Family Services with the target of 100 students and 100 successes.

In the preparatory courses hosted by the Kuşcagiz Family Life Center every weekday and where the young people affected by the earthquake also receive training, expert trainers offer free courses in the branches of chemistry, biology, physics, geography, mathematics and Turkish.

YKS Project Mathematics teacher Hakan Aykut said that they started training in courses by targeting equality of opportunity in education.

“We started this process by targeting equal opportunity in education. At the same time, we try to support our students so that they can realize their dreams. We also included students from earthquake regions in our courses. It is important for us that the education rights of our students are not restricted. As ABB, we are working very sensitively and devotedly in this regard. We look forward to welcoming all of our students to our courses at our Kuşcağız Family Life Center.”

In the center; Psychological and academic support is also given to young people in order to reduce their anxiety, manage their stress and increase their motivation.

Stating that they have implemented the project to contribute to the education of the young people who will enter the YKS, Aysun Hasdemir, Project Manager of the Department of Women and Family Services Family Life Centers Branch, said, “We aimed for such a project to contribute to the education of our students who are preparing for the YKS. In our YKS preparation course, we provide training in numerical and verbal branch courses five days a week. We also provide psychological and academic counseling services.
