Work has accelerated at the Stray Animals Rehabilitation Center of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, which will bring stray animals together in a warm home. With the project, in which every detail from the operating room to the living units is considered, a radical solution to the problem of stray animals will be produced.

In Bursa, the Metropolitan Municipality, which is always with the stray animals, has a total of 2022 treatments, including 5 thousand 17 treatments, 8 thousand 435 parasite treatments, 4 thousand 957 sterilizations and 4 thousand 957 vaccines, at the Soğukkuyu Stray Animal Treatment Center throughout 23. performed treatment. In the same period, feeding activities were focused on in 366 districts with the participation of neighborhood volunteers, non-governmental organizations and animal lovers. While regular feeding and area cleaning were carried out twice a week at 17 designated points, more than 139 tons of food was spent throughout the year for the feeding of stray animals. 2 dog and cat kennels were placed in places such as forest areas, dam edges, parks and coastlines in 60 districts for the shelter of their dear friends.

The construction of the modern Stray Animals Rehabilitation Center, which will be brought to Bursa by the Metropolitan Municipality, started last October. The rough construction of some buildings in the project, which will be implemented on an area of ​​approximately 31 thousand 600 square meters allocated from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, has come to the stage of completion. Grant support will be received from the Ministry at the rate of 40 percent of the project cost. The project will also include an operating room, rabies observation building, horse stable, dog treatment unit, mother with puppies, living units with garden, cat hospital, cat villa, feed warehouse, morgue building, burial area, social facility, administrative building and social activity area. . In the project, which is designed not to harm even a single tree in the forest land, its green presence will be highlighted and a natural living space will be created for its dear friends.

Stating that they have implemented important works to eliminate the concept of 'stray animals' in Bursa, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş said that they are trying to protect all stray animals. Reminding that every life is precious and valuable, President Aktaş said, “Until now, we have never interrupted the services in our Stray Animal Treatment Center, as well as the feeding and sheltering activities in the natural environment. Our project to bring one of Turkey's most modern stray animal rehabilitation centers to Bursa is also progressing. Hopefully, with the completion of this center, we will have produced a radical solution to the problem of stray animals.”
