At the UKOME meeting in January, he presented an important proposal to end the empty-full taxi debate in Istanbul. Buğra Gökçe said that the Smart Top Lamp application is a very important application that will eliminate the taxi victimization in Istanbul. Gökçe said, “We also receive intense complaints from Istanbul residents that taxis choose passengers. This system, which will facilitate the access of the passengers to the taxi and eliminate the negativities experienced by the taxi drivers, is implemented in all the important cities of the world.

The proposal was approved by a majority vote of UKOME members after evaluations. The system, which will be implemented within 3 months, will also have a panic button for the protection of the drivers.

FULL / EMPTY / RZV / SOS WILL WRITE

In the system, which will be connected with the taximeter, the head lamp will display the phrase "FULL" from the moment the journey begins. Until the end of the trip, no changes will be made with outside intervention until the end of the trip. At the end of the journey, the phrase "BOS" will be placed on the headlamp. When the taxi driver goes to pick up the passenger whose call he answered, the smart beacon will be changed to "RZV". In case the driver presses the panic button, the SOS phrase will appear on the headlight so that the taxi can be seen by the law enforcement officers.

Emoticons will have different lighting colors. It will be in TAXI-Yellow, FULL-Red, BOS-Green, RZV-Red and SOS-Red colors. The smart beacons will be visible from the front and back of the taxi and will be visible even in daylight, with a double-sided display and will be protected against external interference.

THERE CANNOT BE A DRIVER WHO COMMITS THE CRIME OF THEFT

Again, with the proposal brought to the agenda by IMM, people who commit theft will not be able to be public transportation drivers. By unanimous decision; IMM will no longer issue public transportation vehicle usage certificates to people who commit theft, qualified theft, theft at night, fraud, qualified fraud, money forgery.

Utku Cihan, Head of Transportation Department of IMM, reminded that those who committed harassment and violent crimes were given a public transportation license, “At the request of Istanbul residents, we added theft and crimes related to theft. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION ADVERTISING STANDARD IS ALSO SET

In UKOME, a standard was also introduced for the procedures and principles to be followed in placing and keeping advertisements on commercial vehicles. An advertisement board can be installed in such a way that it does not cover the taxi and taxi dolmus sign, and does not cover the plate number on the ceiling, and the height of which does not exceed 50 centimeters.
