Continuing to list the 'good news' months before the election, Erdogan said, "There will be no increase in the prices of highway and bridge services throughout the year."

The Cabinet meeting under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan from AKP came to an end. Erdogan made important statements after the Cabinet Meeting, which lasted for 2 hours and 40 minutes. Taking shelter in new 'good news' just a short while before the election, Erdoğan stated that "There will not be any increase in the prices of highway and bridge services throughout the year".

Headlines from Erdogan's statements are as follows:

Unlike previous years, we did not just enter a new year. We have entered a new century with the enthusiasm of our Republic for 100 years. It is like a summary of a thousand years in our homeland with what we have experienced in only 20 years. We started our 100th anniversary work.

EYT REGULATION

At the end of last year, we announced the EYT arrangement. We present the work that will solve the problems of millions of our citizens without any limitations, to the discretion of the Turkish Grand National Assembly soon.

We announced the first stage of the new year's civil servant and pension increase. Since we did not feel comfortable with the increase we declared as 25 percent, we instructed our relevant ministers to work towards increasing this rate. And we increased the rate of increase to 30 percent.

INVITATION TO THE OPINION

I invite all opposition from here on Friday. Our Rami Barracks will be the National Library of Istanbul.

We are opening one of the biggest libraries in Istanbul and one of the few libraries in Europe. With its architecture, history stands up again there. I worked as a tradesman in that barracks.

When I worked in the food industry, Rami Barracks was also a place where we moved there from Unkapanı in the food industry. From there, we chose land until we moved them to a different place. But it finally happened.

HIGHWAY AND BRIDGE HIKE

There will be no increase in highway and bridge crossings throughout the year. We have decided not to make a raise throughout 2023.

While our projects, which were realized with public-private partnerships, were at the planning and investment stage, someone tried to prevent them by lying, slander, and mud.

However, thanks to this model, we had the opportunity to implement many projects without burdening the public budget.

When we calculate it, Osmangazi Bridge contributed approximately 10 billion dollars, Istanbul-İzmir Highway 29 billion dollars, Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge 5 billion dollars, Eurasia Tunnel 7 billion dollars and Istanbul Airport 80 billion dollars.

Each of our other projects continues to provide significant savings to their regions and our country, to generate economic value, and to facilitate the lives of our people.

INFLATION EXPLANATION

We are aware of the increase in the current account deficit due to the excessive increases in commodity prices. We are taking steps to reverse this process by mobilizing our own energy resources.

In the coming months, we will see that the inflation rate goes down. We did not compromise on fiscal discipline.

In order to protect our citizens from inflation, we can keep the budget deficit to national income ratio below the level we envisaged, despite tax reductions, subsidies and additional supports.

Some of the improvements we made for wage earners during the year were covered by the Treasury with tax reductions and support payments. 279 billion lira is the tax amount we have given up. In order to solve the enforcement problems, we undertook the debt of nearly 5 million families up to 2 thousand liras as the Treasury.

We conducted over 1 million inspections to combat both the informal economy and exorbitant price increases. We will implement a program in which we will achieve 20 percent figures in inflation.
