Ayhan Özekin, Member of the Executive Board of Alishan Logistics, who broke new ground in the sector with environmental awareness: “In today's world where the climate crisis and the Green Reconciliation are of great importance, logisticians have great duties. The “border carbon regulation” to be implemented by the European Union within the framework of the European Green Deal will oblige many sectors such as chemistry and logistics to make the necessary changes for sustainability. Due to our expertise in the transportation of especially dangerous chemicals, we attach great importance to this issue as Alisan Logistics. We have long-term efforts to reduce waste and dispose of them without harming the environment. In 2005, we opened the first tank cleaning facility, which allows the washing of tankers carrying chemicals without harming the environment, into service at European Union standards and simultaneously offered it to the logistics and chemical companies of our country. In the same way, we have made important contributions to the enactment of the relevant legislation. In addition, we have been heavily involved in lobbying efforts on this issue for a long time. For example; We are also the founders of KTTD (Chemical Transport Vehicle Cleaners Association) and we are still actively taking part in the Board of Directors of the association in order to continue to be a follower of this important issue. In addition to all these, in 2022, which is an investment year for us in every sense, we once again carried out activities to reduce our carbon footprint. We have renewed our tractor fleet, trailer and swapbody fleet and we continue to increase their numbers. Our new vehicles are equipped with an environmentally friendly new generation engine that can stay in operation for a longer period of time, in addition to their technological advantages, their compliance with the ADR Legislation. In addition, we are working on projects to produce sustainable energy with GES panels in our warehouses. We will continue our investments without slowing down in order to leave a more livable World to future generations.” said.

As a company holding the global certificate of “Women Owned Company”, the rate of female employees in Alishan Logistics has increased by 3-20% for the last 25 years. The company attaches great importance to the sustainability of these ratios, and 75% of the board of directors is women. Having broken grounds in the sector for women's employment, Alişan also continues to produce and support projects that support equal opportunities in education.
