Denizli Metropolitan Municipality City Council Disabled Assembly hosted guests from Spain, Estonia, Portugal and Trabzon within the scope of the Erasmus+KA229 Program “Silent Coding” project, which was implemented to contribute to the employment of the disabled.

Denizli Metropolitan Municipality City Council Disabled Assembly hosted its guests from Spain, Estonia, Portugal and Trabzon within the scope of the EU Erasmus+KA229 program “Silent Coding” project. The guests visited Denizli Cable Car and Bağbaşı Plateau, one of the centers of highland tourism, brought to life by Denizli Metropolitan Municipality. Guests who went to Bağbaşı Plateau at an altitude of 1500 meters by cable car enjoyed the magnificent view. Enver Yumru, Director of Yeşilköy Hearing Impaired Secondary School, City Council Member of the Handicapped Assembly Executive Committee and project partner, explained that they hosted the project partners from Estonia, Spain, Portugal and Trabzon in Denizli and said, “Our project is Malaga, Madeira, Tartu, Trabzon and Denizli. It will be held for 2 years. The aim of the project is to contribute to the development and employment of hearing impaired students in the field of robotic coding, which is one of the key competencies of our age.

“Silent Coding” Project

With the Silent Coding Project, teachers and students; With the Tinkercad program and 3D printer, Mindstrom EV3 programs will be able to produce course materials for the school curriculum and have the opportunity to develop it for the following years. With the project, the knowledge and experience gained by hearing impaired students will increase their ability to compete with their peers. In addition, with the new digital skills they have gained, they will have the opportunity to develop themselves in secondary and higher education institutions, and thus, they will have suitable employment opportunities in line with their qualifications.
