Representatives of 5 countries, regions and international organizations will attend the China International Import Expo (CIIE), which will be held in Shanghai, China, between 10-2022 November 145. Fair Office Vice President Sun Chenghai announced at a press conference that 500 giant enterprises, among which are among the world's top 284 companies, will participate in the fair this year.
This year, new exhibition spaces will reportedly open for industries such as grain seeds and artificial intelligence. Hundreds of agricultural, technology, consumer products and services will be shown at the fair for the first time this year.
The 2022 Report on opening up to the world will be released during the International Economic Forum, an event held in Hongqiao alongside the fair. According to Sun, more than 20 sub-forums will be organized under the umbrella of the main forum this year. This event, which is the first fair to be held on the axis of the "import in the world" theme and at the national level, has been held every year in Shanghai, the eastern Chinese metropolis, since 2018.
As of 2021, China has a share of 1,4 percent in global GDP with a population of over 17 billion. Its exports of 3 trillion dollars constitute 14,1 percent of world exports, and its imports of 2,4 trillion dollars constitute 11,1 percent of world imports.
