UPS Appoints Engin Kolat to Turkey Country Manager Position

UPS (NYSE: UPS) announced that it has appointed Engin Kolat as the new Country Manager for UPS Turkey. After Turkey Country Manager Burak Kılıç was appointed as France Country Manager, Turkey Operations Director Engin Kolat took over. According to the announcement, Kolat will be responsible for UPS's activities in Turkey, business development activities and strategy in this role.

Regarding the assignment, UPS Eastern Europe President Kim Ruymbeke said, “Turkey is among the most important markets in Europe for UPS. Under the leadership of Engin, we will continue to help businesses of all sizes grow and expand into new markets by providing the highest level of service.”

Engin Kolat said, “More than 99 percent of enterprises in Turkey are SMEs and 58,4% of Turkey's exports are also made by SMEs. There are huge e-export opportunities in front of businesses and entrepreneurs. At UPS, we have strengthened our investments in your facilities in Turkey and the network that connects our country to the rest of the world in order to enable businesses to access these opportunities more easily and to unlock the potential. Thanks to these investments, UPS is in a unique position to connect businesses to world trade. In the coming period, as before, we will continue to provide excellent services according to the needs of our customers and to deliver what is important to them on time.”

After completing his BA in Economics from Vienna University of Economics and his MA in Koç University, Engin Kolat joined the UPS family in 2013 as a revenue management and pricing specialist. He held various positions at UPS, such as industrial engineering director, regional operations manager, country marketing manager, and operations director.
