China Media Group (CMG) has opened an ultra-high-definition (UHD) live broadcast studio on the fast train, which is moving at 350 kilometers per hour.
CMG opened the world's first 5G live broadcast studio on the high-speed train between Beijing, the capital of China, and Zhangjiakou, the other host city of the Winter Olympics.
The opening of a studio using 5G+4K/8K+AI technology with UHD TV live broadcast on a high-speed rail demonstrates CMG's determination to bring the 2022 Winter Olympics to large audiences using the latest technology.
At the opening ceremony of the studio, CMG President Shen Haixiong said, “We are witnessing the use of 5G technology in UHD broadcasts on the high-speed train for the first time in the world. "This is a demonstration of China's technological achievements in 5G, UHD display and high-speed rail network."
