Turkey's first local tram 'Silkworm test drive will make the Prime Minister

Turkey's first indigenous tram "Silkworm" has reached the final stage of the test, after receiving the necessary approvals to be downloaded to the rails of the railroad car's first test will be made by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan reportedly driving.

It is approved by accredited organizations in accordance with world standards and is approved in Europe and their results are coming. We depend on them. After the final reports arrive, the work will be finished and the vehicle will be started to be driven on the track. ”
First test drive from Prime Minister
Recalling that Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited the factory where the production was made in 2010, Altepe continued as follows:
“Our prime minister had promised at that time. We discussed this issue with him once again at the last meeting of the provincial presidents in Ankara. I informed him about the tram work. I invited him to Bursa for the first test drive. He also accepted. They said, 'When the vehicle is on the rail, program accordingly, let's come and drive. We will adjust our schedule accordingly. After all the necessary procedures are done, I hope our Prime Minister will come to Bursa and make the first ride himself. ”
Expressing that the tramway will continue to be used in the railway laying operations, Altepe said:
”4 lines are extended on one side. We make the tram lines in the city. The tram line, which we call 'number 1 line' as the main route, will be a very modern line. Sculpture is a route that includes the streets of İnönü, Ulu, Darmstad, Stadium, Altıparmak. Studies continue here intensely. Infrastructure works and laying of the rails continue at full speed. We are working day and night to complete the system and keep up with the coming summer. We aim to finish them and run the tram in the summer months. After the main line ends, we will finish the Yalova Road, Çekirge, Yıldırım line and connect it to the main line. Now the works are going as we want. There is no hitch. ”
“We produce to sell to the whole world”
Altepe, explaining that the continued operation of the tram series production, "not only to Turkey, we produce to sell to the whole world. After the vehicle is put on the rail, international tenders can be entered. Rail system vehicles can be sold to the world from Bursa. Whether tram, metro, high speed train, there will be productions in every area. Bursa in Turkey, it is a pioneer city in this regard. It becomes the first city to use domestic vehicles. This is a great honor. The production of the rails was under the guidance of our municipality. ”
