A 'Hospital Class' will be established in every hospital needed in 81 provinces

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer stated that a hospital classroom will be set up at any point in 81 provinces, regardless of public-private distinction, for students who are treated at home or in a hospital due to health problems.

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer stated that multidimensional and wide-ranging activities are carried out to ensure equality of opportunity in education and said, “One of the important activities we carry out in this context is to ensure that individuals with special education needs exist in all areas of social life, benefit from equal educational opportunities and integrate with social life. constitutes our work. In this context, we provide education services to our children who are in the hospital or at home, so that they can continue their education, who are hospitalized in health institutions due to their health problems.” said.

Expressing that teachers make great sacrifices to ensure that students who receive inpatient treatment in hospitals due to health problems and students who receive education at home because it requires long-term treatment do not break away from life and continue their education uninterrupted, Özer noted that as of today, 22 students continue their education in 51 hospital classes in 1.500 provinces due to health problems. Noting that two classroom teachers were assigned in each of these classes, Özer stated that teachers were assigned from other fields in line with the need.

He said that home education services are provided during the school year to students who are at the age of compulsory education with special education needs, who are documented that they cannot benefit from formal education institutions for at least twelve weeks due to health problems or that they will pose a risk to their health if they do so.

Certificate of achievement to all teachers who provide education services at home or in the hospital classroom

Reminding that teachers made great sacrifices to keep schools open during the Kovid-19 process, Minister Özer emphasized that teachers showed this sacrifice on different grounds and made the following evaluations: “As of today, 11 thousand 22 students benefit from home education services in our country. Therefore, as of today, 12 thousand 3 teachers provide education services to our students who receive education at the hospital or at home. We also wanted to reward these teachers, who work day and night to raise the architects of our future, who make sacrifices and become a light for our students with their love and compassion. On this occasion, we sent a certificate of achievement to our teachers who provide education services to our children who are unable to attend school due to health problems, are treated at home or in hospital, and need special education. I would like to thank our teachers once again for their sacrifice. In addition, we will establish a hospital classroom at any desired point in 81 provinces, without any public-private discrimination, in order to enable our children to continue their education under any circumstance.”
