Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu emphasized that uninterrupted transportation is provided in Istanbul with the Northern Marmara Highway and said, “With our project, we save 3 billion 236 million TL from time, 2 billion 147 million TL from fuel, and a total of 5 billion 383 million TL annually. Since the opening of the Northern Marmara Highway, 1.3 billion hours have been saved.”

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu made a statement about the Northern Marmara Highway. Pointing out that the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge is also designed to pass rail systems over it, and that land, air and rail transportation modes will be integrated, Karaismailoğlu said, "This way, the transportation alternatives and trade capacity of our country, which connects Asia and Europe, will increase."
