Noting that the Eurasia Tunnel will be put into operation on 20 December as planned, Minister Arslan said that they want to go out to tender this year and hit the digging next year on the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge. Arslan stated that they are working on an alternative route in the Kanal Istanbul project. Expressing that they will not explain the route without 100% clarification in order to prevent speculation, Arslan gave the following information: “The studies on the route have reached the final stage. We are working on the financial method in which we will do the project. We are in the process of finishing it. After that, the tender process will begin. If we can start the tender process by the end of the year, we will have progressed in 1.5-2 years.
