Prague City Center Connects to the Airport: The Czech Republic's Ministry of Transport has approved the rail line to connect Prague city center and Vaclav Havel airport. After a long feasibility study by the SZCD construction company, the most suitable locations for the line were determined.

The new line is planned to be bi-directional and 3 kV DC electrified. The line, which is designed as an extension of the line between Masarykovo and Dejvice, which is currently in service, will continue from the city center to the airport.

The cost of the new line to be made is estimated to be the 19,46 billion check box (791 million dollars). The construction of the line is expected to start in the 3 year. The cost of the construction of the line of funds from the European Union fund will be found.

After the completion of the line, the journey time between Prague city center and the airport will drop to 27 min. It is even scheduled to be serviced so that there will be 6 pieces per hour.
